My name is Kai Jäger. I'm a programmer at heart and a project manager by trade. I was born, raised and still live in Stuttgart, Germany where I'm within months of completing my master's degree in computer science and media at a local college appropriately named the Stuttgart Media University. When I'm not working on my thesis, I spend my waking hours at a small company called M,P,NEWMEDIA, where I work on a whole range of projects, mostly in the field of personal (or portable) navigation devices. What this blog is about
When I started this blog in 2006, it had initially been my intention to write primarily about web development. Since then, my area of interest has shifted and while I still enjoy web development, few of my recent projects are related to web development. This shift in focus is reflected in the lack of updates that this blog has recently been suffering from. But since this blog (very much to my surprise) actually has an audience, I am reluctant to change the focus of it to something else. Instead, I'm thinking about starting a new blog when the time is due, that will discuss my new primary field of interest that is programming language design and implementation. Aside from this, I'm interested in game development (I have co-developed two 3D engines), software usability, developer productivity and too many other things to list them all here.
